Welcome to the online application form for the Let's Talk Energy Fund. This fund may be able to help residents in England, Scotland or Wales who want to apply for the below;
- Freestanding appliances
- Boiler repairs or replacements for gas or oil
- Energy debt relief
You can submit more than one application if you want to apply for each of the above. Please check our website https://www.lets-talk.online/Home/Support_Funds_Individual to find out what other forms of support are currently available.
As part of the Let's Talk Energy Fund we're currently working with the following energy suppliers:
- SSE – Only accepting Energy debt relief or Boiler repair/replacement applications
- Scottish Power- Only accepting Freestanding appliance applications
As the funding is coming to a close we're now only currently accepting customers from these two suppliers.
You'll be asked questions about your household circumstances. It's important you answer all the questions honestly and provide as much information as you can, as this will help us to review and reach a decision on your application as quickly as possible. If you provide incorrect information, it's likely your application will be declined.
We reserve the right to withdraw your application at any point during the process. The decision on your application is final and there is no appeals process.
Currently we are unable to offer our full range of freestanding appliances to the islands and highlands of Scotland. We will only be able to process applications if you apply for freestanding fridge-freezer, under counter fridge or freezer. This is subject to available funding.
You'll need
You'll need to make sure you have evidence of any benefits/tax credits you receive for the period April 2020 – March 2021 in order to complete your application. The below list is acceptable examples of evidence:

- All pages of the HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) letter showing Child Tax Credit or Working Tax Credit entitlement
- All pages of your Universal Credit letter or screenshots of your online account showing your full name and entitlement

If you don't have any of the above but believe your gross annual household income is less than £16,190, please submit evidence of your income for all members of the household. This should include wage slips for the last 3 months along with any other income such as your pension.
If applying for energy debt relief, you need to have your gas and/or electricity account numbers and latest meter readings (meter readings should be taken the day you submit your application). If you've any problems with this, please contact your energy provider.
